Water Justice Knowledge Exchange

The Water Justice Knowledge Exchange was a 3-year series of knowledge exchange sessions between scholars and community-based organizations focusing on issues of water and injustice around the world. This project was developed by Hannah Friedrich (PhD Candidate, Geography), Dr. God'sgift Chukwuonye (Research Scientist at the University of Arizona), Dr. Corrie Hannah, and myself. We were supported by the Graduate & Professional Student Council, the University of Arizona’s Arizona Institute for Resilience AIR), and a Research!America Microgrant.

The goal of the speaker series is two-fold:

  1. Share examples of how researchers & community-based organizations collaborate on issues relating to water and social justice.

  2. Provide a glimpse into what researcher relationships entail with regard to building partnerships with shared project goals & visions.
